Alright, the verdict is out, Juve, Lazio and Fiorentina are relegated with points deduction and AC will remain in Serie A with docked points. The biggest losers from this scandal has got to be the fans of these clubs. The biggest winners? Top clubs all over Europe. A series of summer transfer will be triggered and lots of high profile players will be moving. It's a blow to Serie A because many top players will move overseas. I can see Real and Chelsea heading the shopping spree.

As a Juve supporter myself, i am okay for relegation because i know Juve will bounce back but i can't bear to see Buffon, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Trezeguet leaving... It will be hard to rebuild the team again after promotion with so many big names leaving... Enough said, the person to blame will be Luciano Moggi!!!

After 1 whole month of intense football matches, Italy are crown champions of the 2006 World Cup Tournament. They did well to score all their spot kick. Italy wasn't tip initially to win the World Cup because of the Serie A scandal back home. Now it's judgement time for all the footballers of Juventus, Lazio, Milan. Relegation? We shall await...

It was disappointing to see Zidane send off for his last game and he did't even pick up his silver medal at the presentation. Henry must be disappointed to end up as runner-up twice in the UEFA Champions League as well as the World Cup. It's time for France to rebuild their squad with the retirement of Barthez, Zidane and Thuram.

The Germans sealed 3rd place with 2 excellent goals from Schweinsteiger. It was nice to see Kahn playing after Lehmann offered his spot to him. The match was a farewell to 2 great players in Kahn and Figo in the international arena. Now that remains for Germany is for Klinsmann to decide on his future, but i wonder whether he will be criticized by the media in future just like what happens prior to the World Cup.

It's Italy vs France!!! One last swansong for Zizou? Hmm... this reminds me of the Euro 2000 final between these two sides which France won. Did you guys see the way Zidane dispatched his penalty kick yesterday? It was such a cool headed penalty. I wonder whether the English players were watching it... Thank god, there wasn't any extra time or penalty kicks. I had enough of all these 0-0 FT games even though it was played of the highest quality.

I thought that yesterday's match was gonna be decided by penalty kick, afterall it has been 0-0 for the last 118 mins of play... but there was a late drama with 2 goals from the Italians. Grosso certainly struck a winner goal... Buffon did well saving a few shots and the Italians were unlucky when they hit the crossbar twice. So who will Italy meet in the final? France or Portugal???

It's the same old story for England once again. If ever there was an ending to England World Cup story, it would have to be by the dreaded penalty kick. I was surprised though that Lampard and Gerrard both misses theirs. Did Theo Watcott went to Germany to have a summer holiday? I certainly thought so... I did't even see him play for even half a second!!!

Who would have guess Brasil is out of the tournament? No more samba magic from the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo... i think they will get slaughtered by their press back in Brasil. No more South Americans teams, but at least it was good to see Zidane play another two games before retirement.

Goal Of The Day - Thierry Henry (Fra)

Germany won because Pekerman was too cautious... He sub Riquelme and Crespo for Cambiasso and Julio Cruz. I think that's a big mistake. I wanna see Messi!!! How could you afford to sit back and wait for the Germans to artillery bombardment. Sooner or later i think the Germans are gonna score and they did. Well, nobody can dispute the fact that Germany is a master in pen shootout. mind you, they have not lost since Euro 76. Wow!!!

Italy's game against Ukraine is always a done deal (no disrespect) and they dutifully did. Luca Toni finally scored to silence his critics back home.

Goal Of The Day - Gianluica Zambrotta (Ita)
