It's has been a poor start for both Arsenal and Liverpool. I wonder whether there's a jinx to moving to a new stadium, Arsenal just can't seem to win a league match at Emirates Stadium. Look no further in the city of Manchester Commonwealth Stadium where Man City failed to make their new stadium a fortress. A warming to Liverpool, Stanley Park jinx beckons in 2010... Talking about Liverpool, they lost 3-0 in their derby against Everton. I wonder what on earth was Reina thinking of?

Man U continues their excellent start with Portsmouth is still keeping a clean sheet. Over at Italy, Juventus started their Serie B "debut" with a 1-1 draw with Rimmi. V.Nistelrooy got his 1st hat-trick with Real and certainly more to come... He's a natural goal-getter.

Champions League is back this week, i can't wait for the action to unfold.

Okay, so England won 5-0, but it was against Andorra and not Germany, so don't jump off your seat and celebrate as if England has won the World Cup. Crouch got a brace, he's in form and what can i say? But where's his robot-crouch moves? I missed it...

Meanwhile, an interesting fact to share, England best player for the last 2 World Cup was a defensive midfielder, Nicky Butt in 2002 and Owen Hargreaves in 2006. No wonder defensive midfielders are in demand. Right? Fergie?

The transfer coup of the season is here, Tevez & Mascherano to West Ham United. How did West Ham managed to elude the rest of the big european clubs to sign both of them is as much a mystery to me as to you.

The Cole saga has finally ended, it was embrassing, almost like a spanish soap opera. i think Gallas "helped" Cole in a way by wanting out of Chelsea. Reyes managed to leave too after feeling homesick.

Besides the above transfers, Spurs and Boro are the other teams that managed to strengthen their squad. Other then that, nothing much noticeable, just some average players moving around.

Fyi, Paul Ince is still playing soccer with Swindon Town.
