The English League Cup = Holy Grail? I think most of the EPL managers must be thinking that way. Managers under fire (Ian Dowie, Glenn Roeder, Rafa Benetiz) must be happy with their win in League Cup. It brought them some breathing space.

Poor West Ham, i really feel sorry for Alan Pardew, i think his players is letting him down... Anyway i read that Carlos Alberto may be on his way to West Ham during the January transfer window.

Two of the biggest matches were being played yesterday. In the EPL, Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-0 and deservingly so. The biggest culprit in my opinion is Rafa Benetiz. Yes, he defended his rotation policy with his achievements won at Valencia and Liverpool. But Mr Benetiz, you seems to forgot rotating players is one thing, playing them out of position is another. What the heck is Gerrard playing in left and right when he is a central midfielder? And do you rotate your in-form players like Crouch?

I read from soccernet that Benetiz saying it's time to deliver. Yeah Rafa, your players can only step up to the mark if you allow them to play week in and week out to gain some consistency!!! 11 points behind MU and Chelsea after 9 games is an absolute howler!

I managed to catch the Real-Barca clash. Real Madrid played well and V.Nistelrooy is firing on all cylinders, it was oblivious from the last 2 matches that Barca missed E'too and Ronaldino is experiencing a dip in form. I wonder whether Raul is back to his 20 goals a season form?

Finally, Juve continues their journey back to Serie A after their 6th successive win. The old lady are going strong and hopefully we can see them back next season at Serie A.

Last weekend was the 1st time i saw a match having 12 mins of extra time. It was also the 1st time i saw 2 goalkeepers injured in a match. Yes, you got it, i was talking about Reading vs Chelsea match. It was funny to see John Terry playing in goal.

2 players suffering from goal drought. Wayne Rooney and Andriy Shevchenko. I wonder who will break the duck first... Wayne been in good form, i guess he's due a goal soon... As for Sheva, i wish him well.

Meanwhile, Charlton and West Ham continue to struggle. Asssuming Sheffield United and Watford gets relegated, one of the established teams are gonna join them because i do not see Reading getting releagted this season. It could mean the likes of Boro, Wigan, Charlton getting sucked into a relegation battle.
